Making Tax Digital (MTD) is the UK government's programme to move tax administration online. Businesses and the self-employed must keep records digitally and send updates to HMRC through recognised software — ending annual tax returns for those in scope.
Yes. LogiX MTD is an HMRC Recognised, MTD-compatible product. We build against the official HMRC MTD APIs for VAT and Income Tax and retain submission receipts in line with HMRC's record-keeping requirements.
All VAT-registered businesses have been required to comply since April 2022. From April 2026, sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 must also comply, with the threshold dropping to £30,000 (April 2027) and £20,000 (April 2028).
